After days of reported excess of fine dust particles in the air of Sofia, as a measure to solve the problem, the Sofia Municipality is introducing a green ticket worth 0.5 euros for using the public transport, as well as free parking in the metro buffer parking lots for January 9 and 10. The Sofia Municipality is calling on citizens to leave their cars for the next two days and use public transportation instead.

The green ticket will not be valid for night public transport in the capital.
