Bulgarian Parliament to hear cabinet ministers on US "questionnaire" related to Ukraine peacekeeping operation

The Bulgaria Parliament will hear today the Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev about a "questionnaire" prepared by the US on topics related to Bulgaria's readiness to participate in a special military operation on the territory of Ukraine. The hearing is at the proposal of the Vazrazhdane parliamentary group.

On February 18, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov assured that Bulgarian soldiers would not be sent to fight in Ukraine. He recalled that any possible sending of Bulgarian troops abroad could only take place with a decision of the National Assembly, and there is no such decision.
