A protest against the adoption of the euro is taking place between the buildings of the Bulgarian Parliament and the Bulgarian National Bank in central Sofia. "The lev is a symbol of independence," "We do not want the euro," "People's Court for the Constitutional Court," the protesters' banners read. In addition to the Bulgarian national flag, the Russian flag is also being waved.
The protesters call for a referendum to be held to preserve the Bulgarian lev.

Members of Vazrazhdane party with leader Kostadin Kostadinov
The parliament has included in its agenda the discussion of a declaration against the systematic aggressive actions of the Vazrazhdane parliamentary party as an attempt to undermine the democratic legal order in Bulgaria and divert it from its European path.

Toshko Yordanov from "There is Such a People" (ITN) party asked the deputies not to deal with such a declaration, because, in his words, Vazrazhdane party does not deserve such attention. "With such a declaration, we will glorify some dubious people, which is absolutely unnecessary," he pointed out.
