Bulgaria's entry into the eurozone is expected to create zones for elitе tourism in our country, similar to other countries in the rich club. Such zones could be developed in the seaside resorts of Sveti Vlas and Sozopol around the yacht marinas, as well as in the resort of Sts Constantine and Helena. However, there are no closed zones in tourism, and these resorts are not expected to become a reserve for the wealthy, said Rumen Draganov, Director of the Institute for Analysis and Assessment in Tourism, in an interview with BTA.

The latest data on the winter season in Bulgaria indicate that it is going very well, Draganov said. The snowy winter has led to full occupancy in the winter resorts, which have not stopped operating since December.

Romania, Turkiye and Greece are top of the list in terms of the number of foreign visits this winter. After Bulgaria's entry into Schengen, especially in January, there was a high intensity of travel, mainly due to curiosity, Rumen Draganov pointed out.
