The 30th of March is the opening day of the summer season at Burgas Airport. The coastal airport will offer tourists more flights and new destinations - more than 70 routes to over 20 countries. Passenger traffic is projected to grow by double digits, compared to the summer of 2024.

Traffic from Germany is expected to increase significantly - by more than 70% compared to 2024. Growth is also expected in the number of tourists from Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Denmark and the Netherlands.

The first flight to a new destination will be to Krakow, Poland. Low-cost carriers are expanding their presence at Burgas Airport, carrying passengers to and from Warsaw, London, Vienna, Dublin, Budapest, Bratislava, Poznan, Katowice, Lublin, Gdansk and Kaunas.

Another piece of good news is that the national airline - Bulgaria Air - is resuming the domestic Sofia-Burgas route. The flights will start in the second half of June with four flights a week and from July the connection will be daily.
