"The Way of the Musicians" (Musicorum Via) is the name of the joint initiative of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the National Academy of Music (NMA), which opens in the "Professor Marin Drinov" Hall of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. "During the academic year, the students will present their latest high-quality production to the public," the BAS press centre said.

The concerts - with free admission for all music lovers - will take place in the historic hall of the BAS, which is known for its wonderful acoustics. A Yamaha C7 concert grand piano will be placed on the stage especially for the performances of the young talents.

The first concert, 'Classical Masterpieces of Opera and Operetta', will take place today and will feature students from the Academy's vocal faculty. Arias and ensemble pieces from works by Mozart, Verdi, Puccini, Offenbach, Kálmán and Lehár will be performed, bringing the lively atmosphere and melodies of European classical and romantic music".
