Since its establishment on April 11, 2022, the Institute for Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence and Technology – INSAIT has achieved a number of successes and continues to position Bulgaria on the world's technological map.
There have been several significant projects since the beginning of 2025:
The Ministry of Defense and INSAIT signed a strategic memorandum of cooperation. Bulgaria and the Institute hosted a forum for applied cryptography and cybersecurity – RWC 2025, which brought together world experts in Sofia.
With a project by INSAIT and Sofia Tech Park worth 90 million euros, Bulgaria was selected to build one of the six new artificial intelligence factories of the European Union. One of the largest smartphone manufacturers in the world – Vivo, is funding research at INSAIT, which will be part of the company's next-generation mobile platform.
