Grigor Dimitrov started his participation in the Masters 1000 tennis tournament in Madrid with a win. In the second round, he defeated Nicolás Jarry from Chile 6:3, 6:4.

“I am very happy that I won in two sets. I tried to be as creative as possible at the start, but it is very difficult here. I avoided risky shots. I found the necessary rhythm and this helped me with my serves,” the Bulgarian tennis player said after the match.

Grigor Dimitrov’s opponent in the third round will be Jacob Fearnley from Great Britain, who defeated the 20th ranked player in the world, Tomas Machac from the Czech Republic, in Madrid. The two have not met on court before.
