At the beginning of the government meeting, Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov gave a 10-day deadline to improve the BG-ALERT early warning system. "Ten days, colleagues, and after that, there will be no excuses. Once again, we are seeing that systems built with public funds fail to operate when the time, place and occasion demand it, due to institutional or other considerations'', said Premier Zhelyazkov. ''Governance is a synthesis of information sharing and integrated systems. No system can be feudalized, with everyone keeping their information to themselves. It's not an excuse that certain people haven't undergone training”, Rosen Zhelyazkov stated.

Premier Zhelyazkov's demand was prompted by the fact that during the recent floods in the country, the early warning system was not activated.
