The protest in the public transport of Sofia blocked the movement of trams, buses and trolleybuses, as well as the educational process in schools.

The organizers of the protest, the Podkrepa Trade Union and the Confederation of Independent Trade Unions in Bulgaria (CITUB), told the Bulgarian National Radio that they had opened two hotlines for calls from the Ministry of Finance and the Sofia Municipality. However, there has been no reaction so far. GERB leader Boyko Borissov said it was a difficult day for Sofia residents, as the capital was left without surface public transport. Borissov pointed out that the protest was fair.
