The beginning of the eleventh “horotheque” in the village of Branishte near Dobrich will be set today at the local stadium, where a 50-meter flag will be raised. The Bulgarian flag will be twice as large as last year's, the mayor of the village, Dimitar Nikolov said.

The map of Bulgaria will be divided into six folklore regions and a great Dobrudzha horo will be performed along their contours at the finale. In Thrace, Pirin, Rhodope, Shoppe Region, Northern Region and Dobrudzha, four dancers dressed in traditional costumes will be stationed, who will gather in the center to perform a Dobrudzha dance. The idea of the organizers is that Dobrudzha with its folklore can unite the country.

The horo dance event in Branishte is one of the significant events on the territory of the Dobrich municipality. It is not a competition, but is intended to give a stage to the many amateur folk dance clubs from the Dobrich region and neighboring regions, the local administration says.
