Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh held a working meeting with his Croatian counterpart, Tonci Glavina, in Zagreb this week, the Ministry of Tourism announced today.
The conversation focused on the potential advantages of adopting the euro for one of Bulgaria's most important economic sectors — tourism. Mr Borshosh pointed out that Bulgaria's tourism sector is ready to adopt the euro, which he believes will make the country even more attractive to foreign tourists.
'The industry is prepared and has adapted its systems and processes to facilitate easy reservations and payments for hotel, restaurant and tourist services, all payable in euros,' said the Bulgarian minister. He added that easier payments, price transparency and predictability are just some of the benefits that will make things easier for tourists and businesses in the sector.
