Three young Bulgarian players qualify for the second round of Roland-Garros

Rositsa Dencheva got off to a flying start at the French open tennis tournament Roland-Garros. In the girls’ singles she won versus against No. 2 seed Kristina Penickova, USA, by 6-4, 6-1.  

One more Bulgarian player qualified for the second round in the girls’ singles – Elizara Yaneva who won against Sol Ailin Larraya Guidi, Argentina by 6-0, 6-1.

In the boys’ singles Bulgaria’s Alexander Vasilev qualified for the second round after winning by 6-7(3), 7-5, 6-3 vs. Yannik Alvarez of Puerto Rico.
