25 Bulgarians who are staying in Israel for a short time have sought assistance from the embassy in Tel Aviv, Slavena Gergova, Bulgaria's ambassador to the Jewish state, told BNR.

A state of emergency has been declared until 8 p.m. on Saturday and the airspace is closed.

The recommendation to Bulgarians in Israel is to remain calm, to strictly adhere to the instructions of the Israeli authorities and regularly inform themselves about the situation in the country.

Those who sought assistance  and the remaining civilians have been notified to stay near the shelters. For the moment, they have not missed their flights, which are for Sunday and Monday.

"The situation is as you see it. The airspace is closed, the airport too, we are waiting to see what the developments will be and then possible steps will be taken," Gergova said through the journalist from the "Horizont" program Mira Stefanova.
