Weather forecast for 27 June

Expect scorching temperatures and a light breeze

It will be clear across the country tonight, with a light easterly breeze in eastern Bulgaria.

Expect another hot and sunny day, with temperatures reaching 35–40 °C. Later in the day, a cold atmospheric front will move in from the west, destabilising the air mass. During the night, cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop over the north-eastern regions, bringing short-lived showers, thunderstorms and strong winds. There is also a risk of hailstorms. In eastern Bulgaria, there will be a light to moderate southeasterly wind. After noon, the wind will shift to the northwest and intensify. On Saturday night, cool air will begin to move in.


Along the Black Sea coast, it will be sunny. There will be light to moderate easterly winds. Maximum temperatures will range between 29°C and 31°C. The sea temperature will range from 22°C to 25°C. The sea state will be 1–2.


In the mountains, it will be mostly sunny and warm. Clouds will develop in the afternoon and, later in the day and on Saturday night, there will be short-lived showers, possibly accompanied by thunder and hail. There will be a light to moderate north-northwesterly wind, which will strengthen in the evening. The maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 metres will be around 29°C and around 21°C at 2,000 metres.
