Weather forecast: Colder front sweeps across the country from the Northwest

On Tuesday minimum temperatures will range between 17° C., and 24° C., for Sofia 18° C. Comparatively colder air will sweep across the country from the Northwest. Cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will form, first over the Western and central regions of the country, and during the second half of the day over Eastern Bulgaria as well. There will be showers and thunder in many parts, and conditions for hail. The wind from the West-Northwest will pick up, most of all in the Danube Plain. Maximum temperatures 28-33° C., in the Southeastern regions reaching 35° C., for Sofia around 28° C.

Over the Black Sea coast the weather will be predominantly sunny until midday, after which cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds will develop and there will be occasional rain and thunder in many parts. In the morning there will be a light to moderate wind from the North-Northwest, after midday the wind will turn from the East-Southeast. Maximum temperatures 28-31° C., temperature of the sea water 27° C., sea state 2.

Over the mountains there will be considerable cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds, and occasional rain and thunder. There will be a moderate wind from the West-Northwest, on higher ground – from the West-Southwest. Maximum temperature at an altitude of 1,200 m. around 23° C. at 2,000 m. around 17° C.

On Wednesday the weather will continue windy, predominantly sunny with cumulus clouds developing in the afternoon over Southern and Eastern Bulgaria. There will be showers in some parts, in the Rhodopes – thunder. Daytime highs will reach 28-33° C.
