The head of state Rumen Radev, together with the Bulgarian Patriarch Daniil, launched the "Journey of Faith" initiative and expressed hope that the march would popularize Bulgaria's millennial history, culture, traditions and beautiful nature, BTA has reported.

Congratulating the patriarch on the launch of the initiative, the president expressed confidence that in addition to the pilgrimage route to the Rila Monastery, there will be new such routes that will encompass and unite all of Bulgaria. According to Radev, "connecting the sacred and emblematic places of Bulgarian history and spirituality is a path for moral and spiritual elevation." "Today, only together can we affirm the ancient Bulgarian virtues, such as hard work and integrity, humanness and justice, standing above all evil," the head of state pointed out. "I expect the initiative to give impetus to both the development of municipalities and tourism," Rumen Radev also pointed out.
