"Our long-term goal should be sustainable peace in Ukraine, which can only be achieved through a close partnership between the EU, the US and Ukraine itself. A peace that guarantees the security of Ukrainian citizens, stability in the region and upholds the values of freedom and democracy. Only with solidarity, consistency and united efforts can we help Ukraine." This was said by GERB leader Boyko Borisov during an online meeting of the leaders of the European People's Party, initiated by Manfred Weber, according to Borisov's post on Facebook.
The meeting was also attended by Ursula von der Leyen, President of the European Commission, who briefed the participants in detail on the talks from yesterday's meeting between Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and European leaders with US President Donald Trump in Washington.
