Weather forecast for 13 and 14 September

It will be a sunny weekend with scattered clouds and a chance of light rain

Early on Saturday, temperatures will range from 11 to 20°C, with a minimum of 11°C in Sofia. There will be low cloud cover and reduced visibility in the lowlands and river valleys in the morning. The day will be mostly sunny with scattered clouds. Light rain is possible in the central and mountainous regions. Maximum temperatures will be 25-30°C, reaching around 27°C in the capital.


There will still be significant cloud cover on the Black Sea coast after overnight showers, but this will decrease and the afternoon will be mostly sunny. The wind will blow from the east-northeast and will be mostly moderate. Maximum air temperatures will be between 24 and 25°C, the same as the sea water temperature. The sea will be relatively calm, with waves reaching force 3.


In the mountains, cloud cover will be substantial over the Balkan and Rhodope mountains before noon. After noon, cloudiness will increase over most of the mountain ranges in southwestern Bulgaria. Light rain will fall in some places. At an altitude of 1,200 m, the maximum temperature will be around 21°C, and at 2,000 m, around 14°C.


On Sunday, maximum temperatures will be between 25 and 30°C. The day will start sunny, but a cold atmospheric front will approach the country later in the afternoon. There will be rainfall in western Bulgaria in the evening and overnight on Monday, accompanied by thunderstorms in the southwestern regions.


In the Balkans, it will be mostly sunny, with greater cloud cover over the central regions. It will be almost calm. Visibility will be reduced in some places in the morning.
