A damaged surface drone was destroyed today about 80 km east of Varna in the waters of the Black Sea by the Bulgarian Navy, the Ministry of Defense announced.

The drone was discovered on September 15 by the Navy, in cooperation with allied forces and assets. A helicopter, a cutter and a ship participated in the destruction operation, and all measures were taken to secure shipping in the area.

On September 12, a drone was found thrown out of the sea on the North Beach of Burgas. On August 12, a drone found on a beach in Sozopol was neutralized.
