National campaign will promote wine tourism in Bulgaria

Bulgaria's Minister of Tourism Miroslav Borshosh presented to BTA the start of the national campaign "Wine leads the way". It will promote wine tourism in Bulgaria. The initiative starts before the ninth edition of the Global Conference on Wine Tourism, which will be hosted by Plovdiv in October.

This type of tourism develops independently, without the real and visible support of the state, which we want to change, said Borshosh. He emphasized that Bulgarian wine production is at an exceptionally good level.

We, as a branch, are proud of the organization of the conference. The goal is to unite and show a strategy for the development of wine production, said Petya Minkova from the Bulgarian Wine Tourism Organization.

There are 354 registered wine cellars in Bulgaria. Of these, about 170 are actively presenting themselves.
