"The benefit of the joint exercises of the security structures is enormous and today's demonstration was a realistic simulation of incidents that have actually happened in recent months... I believe that the Bulgarian border police are, perhaps, a school for European border police, too. This has been recognized by our partners." This was what the Director of the "Border Police" Directorate, Chief Commissioner Anton Zlatanov, who is monitoring the sea exercise of the "Border Police" to counter cross-border crime, said, BTA has reported.

Zlatanov pointed out that the "Border Police" works around the clock - 24 hours, seven days a week, on land and at sea. According to him, in addition to the initial training upon entering the service, all employees undergo daily, weekly and monthly trainings. "The greatest training is round-the-clock work - because reality is the best teacher," Zlatanov also said.
