Bulgaria’s first honorary consulate in Norway was officially inaugurated on October 24, 2025, in the city of Stavanger, the Embassy of Bulgaria in Oslo announced on Facebook.
Following the performance of the national anthems of Bulgaria and Norway, Ambassador Dessislava Ivanova, Honorary Consul Kiril Kutin, Executive Agency for Bulgarians Abroad Director Rayna Mandzhukova, and the Deputy Mayor of Stavanger ceremoniously cut the ribbon of the new consulate. The ceremony was followed by a concert at the city library, attended by representatives from local institutions, business and cultural communities, as well as Bulgarians living and working in the Stavanger area.
