Recent checks conducted at the Bulgarian beaches of Irakli and Silistar after received signals, have not revealed violations, the Ministry of Tourism has announced. Checks took place after authorities received a signal for blocked roads leading to the beach of Silistar near the Black Sea town of Tsarevo. The Mayor of Tsarevo, Georgi Lapchev, reported all roads to the beach were open. Another signal related to collecting fees for sunbeds and parasols on the beach of Irakli did not reveal violations, too.
According to changes in the Black Sea Coast Development Act, Irakli is a beach designated for ecofriendly tourism and any commercial activity there is prohibited.
