A total of 249 projects for electricity generation from renewable sources and electricity storage, worth about 268.9 million euros will be financed under the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, the Ministry of Energy reported. The deadline for their implementation is March 31, 2026.

"This is an important step towards the implementation of the main priorities of the country in the energy sphere - reducing carbon emissions and successfully integrating the production capacities for renewable energy into the network while guaranteeing the security and stability of the electricity system", Minister of Energy Vladimir Malinov said.

The ministry points out that the main goal of the investment is to contribute to increasing the share of clean energy in Bulgaria's energy mix on the way to climate neutrality.
