Bulgarian President Rossen Plevneliev was awarded the highest state order of Slovenia - the Order for Exceptional Merits for his contribution to a peaceful, democratic and European development of the region and because of his work aimed at strengthening cooperation between Bulgaria and Slovenia and at strengthening ties within the European Union.
