The desecration of monuments is as unacceptable, as the distortion of the Bulgarian history, Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev said in an interview for the Bulgarian National Television. However, I do not beleive that confrontation is mutually beneficial. Earlier on Friday the Bulgarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs also condemned the act of vandalism against the Alyosha Monument in Plovdiv where anti-Semitic statements and Nazi symbols were used.
