Maichin Dom hospital becomes Balkan reference center for application of new technology for early screening of breast cancer

The University Hospital for Obstetrics and Gynecology Maichin Dom in Sofia becomes a reference center in the Balkans for application of new technology for early screening of breast cancer. The technology is a Polish scientific development based on the contact thermography with liquid crystals. The screening takes several minutes and the results are analyzed by an artificial intelligence. The technology can find formations in the mammary gland with a size of 3 millimeters. Maichin Dom hospital has received a certificate to provide expert opinions on the results of the research made in all Balkan countries.
