Bulgaria should be among the first to introduce a green EU vaccination certificate, so that tourists could come to Bulgaria in safer and more controlled conditions, and Bulgarians could travel abroad. This was stated to BNR by Prof. Todor Kantardzhiev, director of the National Centre for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases. According to him, these certificates will probably become a reality in early June.

Todor Kantardzhiev also said that according to research, the cellular immune response after the vaccination against Covid-19 has a protective effect for more than a year. He was adamant that there are currently enough vaccines in the country.
