Minister Komitova dismisses newly appointed head of Road Infrastructure Agency

Bulgaria’s caretaker Minister of Regional Development and Public Works Violeta Komitova has dismissed the Chairman of the Road Infrastructure Agency Apostol Minchev who took office on May 27. Apostol Minchev was dismissed, because he suspended all construction activities of the Road Infrastructure Agency. Engineer Minchev has ordered the suspension of all construction activities and the removal of the construction equipment from all construction sites until further notice. 

"The current head of the Road Infrastructure Agency has been pursuing a policy which contradicts with the policy of the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works," read the statement of the ministry. Minister Violeta Komitova invited all mayors and companies affected by Apostol Minchev's actions to meet for discussions on July 23.
