BSP ask potential partners how long they should hold government-forming mandate

BSP leader Kornelia Ninova asked the parties negotiating over forming a new government, how long she should keep the exploratory mandate and what work can be done during that time in the plenary hall. "I want a clear schedule of dates and a list of laws that will be adopted," she said in the National Assembly.

The reason for Ninova's request was the "new situation" related to the decision of the Constitutional Court that declared the appointment of chair of the Energy and Water Regulatory Commission unconstitutional. This creates the impossibility of determining the prices of gas and electricity.

Also in the parliament, the co-chairman of "Democratic Bulgaria" Hristo Ivanov commented that parceling of ministries in the new cabinet should be avoided. According to him, a possible formula is ministers to be from one formation and their deputies from another. "There is Such a People must convince the others that dialogue with them can be restored", he also said and predicted a six-month horizon for a possible future government.
