No decision on Bulgaria's accession to Schengen is expected next week, diplomatic sources have told BNR, reports Brussels correspondent Angelina Piskova. Instead, the interior ministers of the member states will review the current situation and assess the progress of Bulgaria and Romania on their way to the free movement area.
It is quite possible that a decision on the two countries' accession to Schengen will be taken by the end of the year, and the Spanish Presidency of the European Union hopes this will happen, the diplomats said.
