In the only one Bulgarian nuclear power plant - "Kozloduy", a ceremony is held today on the occasion of the implementation of an alternative type of fuel in Unit 5 of the plant. Minister of Energy Vladimir Malinov participates in the event.
In connection with its nuclear fuel diversification program, Kozloduy NPP concluded a contract with Westinghouse Electric Sweden for the supply of fuel for Unit 5. The first shipment arrived in April and the cartridges are being loaded for use during the unit's scheduled annual overhaul.
