The political situation should give us the opportunity to start working with our compatriots outside the country, who have Bulgarian self-identity and citizenship, so that the Bulgarian spirit and memory can be preserved, National Assembly Speaker Natalia Kiselova staid during a visit to Bosilegrad.

''The political crisis in Bulgaria in recent years has focused our attention on domestic political issues, and not enough attention has been paid to the problems that Bulgarians abroad face'', emphasized Natalia Kiselova. "Our brothers and sisters on both sides of the border must not forget that we are one community and we have the strength to continue living together, despite the border", added the Chairperson of the Bulgarian National Assembly.

Natalia Kiselova viewed the photo exhibition "Bosilegrad: Then and Now" which is on display at the Bosilegrad Cultural Center. She announced that nearly 150 children from Bosilegrad and the Western Outlands will spend their summer holidays in Bulgaria. Natalia Kiselova expressed hope that the joint initiatives will continue in the future.
