Weather forecast for May 4

Mostly sunny with short-term precipitation

At night, clear and almost calm weather will prevail, with scattered high clouds over the western part of the country. The lowest temperatures will be between 6° and 11°C; in Sofia - around 6°C.

On Sunday, sunny weather will prevail. In the afternoon cumulus clouds will form over the mountainous regions in the western and central part of the country and short-term rainfalls with thunderstorms are expected. There will be light to moderate south-southwesterly wind. The highest temperatures will be between 25° and 30°C, in Sofia - around 26°C. Daytime temperatures along the sea coast will remain lower.

At the Black Sea coast, it will be mostly sunny but in the morning hours in some places visibility will be reduced. There will be light to moderate wind from the south-southeast. The highest temperatures will be between 13° and 16°C. The sea water temperature is 13°-14°C.

In the mountains, sunny weather will prevail, but clouds will form in the afternoon. In places in the Rila-Rhodope region, the Central Balkan, and Sredna Gora, short-term rain with thunderstorms are expected. The wind will be moderate to strong the west-northwest. The highest temperature at an altitude of 1200 meters will be about 19°C; at 2000 meters - about 12°C.
