Weather forecast for 29 May

It will stay cool for the end of May, with local showers

On Thursday, minimum temperatures will range from 8°C to 14°C. Around 9°C is expected in Sofia. Cloud and rain expected in western and central Bulgaria in the morning, and short showers in the east later. Risk of heavy downpours overnight. The likelihood of rain is lowest in the western Danube Plain. Temperatures will be relatively cool for the end of May, reaching a maximum of between 19°C and 24°C and around 18°C in Sofia.


In the mountains, there will be significant cloud cover over the western massifs, accompanied by precipitation. In the central and eastern massifs, brief showers are expected, with snowfall above 2,300 metres. A moderate to strong north-westerly wind will blow, easing slightly during the day. The maximum temperature at 1,200 metres will be around 12 °C and around 5 °C at 2,000 metres.


Along the Black Sea coast, it will be mostly sunny. However, scattered showers may develop in the afternoon as cumulus clouds build up. There is a high chance of heavier rainfall in the Burgas area on Thursday night. Maximum air temperatures will range from 20°C to 24°C. Sea temperatures will range from 15°C to 18°C, with a sea swell of 1–2 metres.


On Friday, expect sunny conditions in the morning, followed by showers across much of the country in the afternoon. Temperatures will remain largely unchanged.
