85 folk ensembles to participate in the "Sparks from the Past" festival in Apriltsi

A total of 85 folk ensembles from across the country will participate in the "Sparks from the Past" festival, which will take place in the mountain town of Apriltsi on July 26 and 27. The open-air stage for the performances will be set up at April Uprising Square, BTA reported. Music and dance groups from various parts of Bulgaria including Vidin, Lovech, Veliko Tarnovo, Pleven, Sevlievo, Panagyurishte and many others will take part in the event.

The festival aims to preserve, promote and develop traditional folk music and dance, to spark interest in folklore among different generations and to support the exchange of cultural values and traditions.
