The changes to the Preschool and School Education Act will most likely come into effect in November, and with them the ban on smart devices in class, announced Education Minister Krasimir Valchev, quoted by BGNES.

Valchev recalled that there is currently a ban on using phones in class, but the text concerns ordinary devices. Valchev expressed hope that with the changes, children will become more focused in the learning process. Minister Valchev called on parents to also take measures, because screens have a negative impact on children.

The Ministry of Education and Science has also prepared recommendations for schools on how to use devices for educational purposes.
